Date Night at Chrysalis

The tables were draped with fresh linens, flowers as centerpieces properly set the tables and the smell of delicious Italian food filled the air.

When the words “date night” cross your mind many visions may run through your head. Here at Chrysalis a few of the staff and myself decided to have our own version of “date night” with the girls.  We gave them extra time to dress up, do their hair and make up, and get ready to have a special dinner made by the staff. For the staff, this was an opportunity to show our care for the girls and that this is more than just a job.

As the girls prepared for dinner, you could feel the excitement in the air. There was many outfit changes and laughter.

Our dinner started off with a crisp Caesar salad decorated with a large garlic crouton.   Next came the French bread baguette topped with tomato bruschetta. For the main course we had sun dried tomato and chicken pasta with roasted dill carrots. All of which, were served by staff to the girls as they remained seated in expectation.

Lastly, the girls were served a homemade strawberry shortcake topped with whip cream.  With Full belly’s the girls chatted about how grateful they were for such a special dinner and how good the evening was. The dinner was successful at deepening the relationship between staff and students and everyone had a wonderful night.
