Academics

The Chrysalis classroom provides our students a carefully designed learning environment that is rich in resources, and offers the safety and containment necessary to develop academic competency. Our classroom is designed for girls who have struggled in conventional academic settings due to learning styles and disruptions (i.e., family, social, emotional, dependency, etc.) that prevent academic and developmental progress.

Our school for girls provides an individualized education program, and allows students to remediate flawed skills and their fund of knowledge. Girls develop their organizational skills and learn to study effectively and independently in our secure classroom, free of the social distraction or stimulation of public school. Student instruction is provided by our state certified high school teachers and several tutorial staff. Students are expected to become very active in extra-curricular opportunities, whether athletic, musical, social, or service.

Our academic program combined with the "whole" Chrysalis experience prepares girls for a college environment. The vast majority of our program graduates successfully head toward higher education. The confidence and success experienced in our classroom translates into building blocks necessary in university settings.
